Celebrate the area's talent

Haworth Festival's plans seem to be moving on apace and hopefully the event will become the celebration of the area's talent that it should be.
I also hope that it is done by local people for local people first and foremost. This area has a diversity of talent unlike any other ranging through the arts to the downright unusual but often it seems that the locals are reluctant to get involved, I wonder why?
Let's also hope that events go beyond the confines of Main Street and encompass the whole village, especially our often underused Central Park, one thing which is open every day of the week and is a jewel in our crown.
